Good news for those with second jobs to afford Game Gear batteries; the ESRB has rated two Game Gear games for release on the 3DS Virtual Console. Hopefully this an indication that Sega’s promise for Game Gear VC support will finally come to fruition.

They’ve decided to start with a bang, with the two rated titles being Shinobi and Sonic Triple Trouble. No information yet on release dates or prices, but maybe this will finally get the ball rolling on the much-needed “Nack the Weasel” spin-off.
