Square Enix CEO Yochi Wada Leaves CESA

Posted by Steve Hannley on 22 Mar 2012

Many people know Yochi Wada as the CEO of Square Enix, but he’s also been serving as the chairman of the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) until today.

After nearly six years with the organization, Andriasang is reporting that he has split ways with CESA. Shin Unozawa, better known as Namco Bandai’s VP, will be taking over Wada’s position. No reason has been given for the split, but Wada will continue to serve on the board.

CESA is a Japanese Organization which aims to “promote the computer entertainment industry [...] with the aim of contributing to the strengthening of Japanese industry as well as to the further enrichment of people’s lifestyles.” Their main venture is organizing the Tokyo Game Show.

One day I plan to expose my child to no American history besides what they can pick up from playing Assassin's Creed III. Then I'm going to drop him or her into a Social Studies class and mildly enjoy the outcome. I'm going to be a great father.
