Tokyo Jungle: All Kinds of Awesome

Posted by Steve Hannley on 06 Apr 2012

Games like these never actually materialize. After all, Tokyo Jungle is about a post-apocalyptic city where only animals remain and fight each other to the death. It’s like The Road Warrior with dogs and giraffes. Oh and there’s a frickin’ Tyrannosaur in the game.

Just check out the description of the main character:

“Ran out of pet food, the Pomeranian dog now has to fend for itself in a now-wild-and-vicious Tokyo”

Awesome. Yet somehow, Tokyo Jungle is still existing and is slated to come out on PS3 June 7th. Check out the recently released trailer above and the amazing cover art below. I’m going ahead and assume it will never be released in North America, so go ahead and look into importing now.

One day I plan to expose my child to no American history besides what they can pick up from playing Assassin's Creed III. Then I'm going to drop him or her into a Social Studies class and mildly enjoy the outcome. I'm going to be a great father.

Euro version confirmed, and some Asian versions frequently have English dialogue options. Region-free means, whether there’s a US version or not, it will be mine! :D

No matter what sites you read/what consoles you play, everyone keeps complaining about how myopic the game industry is becoming. Therefore, I will whole-heartedly support this crazy game.

James, the PS3 is region free? Great – I’ll definitely be getting this title!
