Swedish developer Mojang, creators of the incredibly popular and addicting Minecraft, have released the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming title, Scrolls. The game has been in development for quite some time, even facing lawsuits against Bethesda, so it’s great to finally get a taste of what it’s all about.

This isn’t a game for Minecraft fans; Scrolls is a unique new experience that will generate a whole new audience. Scrolls is a turn-based card game where your actions will represent what is happening on the board in front of you. Think of Magic: The Gathering, but a little more animated. No release date has been announced, but according to Scroll’s newly revamped website, a closed alpha build is slowly coming along. Expect something in the coming months.
