Microsoft is starting their multi-million dollar marketing push for this year’s biggest game as they have released the first trailer for their internet mini-series, Forward Unto Dawn. Debuting October 5, 2012 through both Halo Waypoint and Machinima’s YouTube channel, Forward Unto Dawn will feature five episodes about emotional UNSC trainees who go through a rough boot camp and an even rougher war. Things don’t always go as well as they should as sh*t hits the fan fast and the team will have to rely on their short amount of training and a seven foot tall Spartan to lead the way.
Microsoft is sparing no expense as they have brought on Stewart Hendler to direct the short series and Todd & Aaron Helbing to write it. The cast is also made up familiar faces as Australian actor Tom Green will play main character, Thomas Lasky, Anna Popplewell will star as Chyler Silva and Daniel Cudmore will play everyone’s favorite Master Chief. Ayelet Zurer Oscric Chau, Iain Belcher and Kate De Lieva will also make appearances within the five episodes.
This may not be the 100-million dollar movie we’ve been asking for, but it certainly gets our heart racing for the next installment into the Halo franchise.
