Tony Hawk Rises Again; Pro Skater HD Sells 120k

Posted by Adam Beck on 27 Jul 2012

Robomodo’s recent re-imagining of Tony Hawk’s skateboarding franchise is doing quite well on the Xbox 360. The company has revealed today that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD has sold roughly 120,000 copies in just over a week’s time. This has in no means broken any records, but it’s an indication of where the series may go. This could be a jumping off point for Activision to use the current appreciation and popularity behind the game and publish a full retail release, or they could continue down the digital market.

Regardless, the game turned out well, as you can tell from our review, and the PC and Playstation Network releases will be coming in the near future, not to mention downloadable content. This can only mean big things for a series that was once on the brink of disaster.
