Square Enix To Support OUYA ‹ Hardcore Gamer

It may not be the most advanced game from Square Enix catalog, but at least it’s something. Final Fantasy III has been officially announced as a launch title for OUYA’s upcoming March 2013 release. This isn’t the original game, but the 2006 polygonal remake that came out for the Nintendo DS (and eventually iOS) that will be optimized for OUYA’s hardware capabilities, hopefully taking advantage of a higher resolution.

While it may not be a console port, or a new game for that matter, at least the system seems to be getting a fair amount of support from large developers. Unfortunately no other information is given, but if you really want to, the game is already available in the Android and iOS stores at a heft $16 price point (but at least you can play it on your smart phones and tablets).
