Rayman Legends Remains Stunning

Posted by Steve Hannley on 16 Aug 2012

While Rayman Origins was one of our favorite releases last year, it seemed improbable the follow-up could live up to its legacy. Instead of another 3D Rayman or Rabbid-involved successor, however, Ubisoft was bold enough to keep the series to its 2D roots. By using the UbiArt engine (improved by the ability to display 3D elements), the sequel is looking to not only meet the standards of Origins, but even surpass them.

Five new screens were released today that cement its “goregous” status. Any one of the screenshots, posted below alongside newly-released cover art, are beautiful enough to stand on their own as artwork — so just imagine how it will look in motion.

One day I plan to expose my child to no American history besides what they can pick up from playing Assassin's Creed III. Then I'm going to drop him or her into a Social Studies class and mildly enjoy the outcome. I'm going to be a great father.
