Konami and Kojima Productions’ upcoming HD collection of the once popular Zone of Enders franchise still doesn’t have a solid release date, but you can still take a look at the opening video to the second game. If you didn’t notice by watching it, the opening cutscene is essentially the same as what was in the original Zone of Enders: The Second Runner, just with a few touches here and there. The only real change, other than the glorious HD and widescreen support, is that a number of the gameplay scenes have been re-recorded at different angle, while the cinematics stay mainly intact.

What we played at E3 this year was more or less the same from what we remembered when the game was released back in 2003, but was noticeably still in development as the frame rate needed some work. Regardless, you can pick up Zone of Enders HD Collection, that includes the first two games, for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 sometime by the end of the year.
