Call of Juarez Goes Digital ‹ Hardcore Gamer

To put it lightly, Techland’s Call of Juarez franchise went through a bit of a rough patch last year with The Cartel, bringing a muddled and poorly executed modern western to the masses. The Polish developer is looking to rebound with their next installment into the series titled Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. No specifics were given in this announcement other than that the game will be reduced to a downloadable title for Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network and PC.

The trailer doesn’t show much other than a good ol’ hanging in the old west. It’s good to see COJ back on its feet so quickly, but whether or not it’s suitable as a smaller release will determined by Techland’s ability in the upcoming months. Gunslinger will be released sometime next year.
