Hitman: Absolution’s Contracts Mode in Action

Posted by Adam Beck on 28 Sep 2012

The brand new Contracts mode, not to be confused with 2004′s Hitman: Contracts, will create a sense of community in Hitman: Absolution, allowing players all around the world to share their missions. We’ve been getting small tidbits of information, but finally there is some gameplay to go along with the hype. Tore Blystad, Game Director at IO Interactive, and Travis Barbour, Community and Brand Assistant, walkthrough a section of the upcoming stealth action title, showing off the different ways Contracts mode can be played.

Set up different targets, apply multiple rule sets (such as if you’re seen you’ll have to restart) and earn the most amount of points possible. It’s interesting how the creation of each contract is made; instead of going through a cumbersome editor, the player will actually have to play through the level and execute their target(s) in the way they want others to do so. It’s almost like a challenge to friends to see if they can best your abilities.
