Activision has no shortage of funding when it comes to marketing their biggest franchise to date: Call of Duty. Last year, Jonah Hill and Sam Worthington graced the live action commercial, so to top it this year, Robert Downey Jr. and FPS Russia make their debut in the “Surprise” commercial that’s directed by Guy Ritchie (best known for his work on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and the recent Sherlock Holmes films).
This looks like one expensive commercial as it features a fury of graphical effects, Hollywood and YouTube sensations, and a famous director coordinating everything. There’s no surprise why the series continues to increase in sales.
