Released almost three years ago, but still quite popular today, S2′s free to play Multiplayer Online Battle Arena game, Heroes of Newerth, continues to receive ongoing support. Such support will next take place in the form of the “3.0″ update, which improves user experience by introducing new gameplay elements such as a redesigned walkthrough, Learnatorium, bots, an improved referral system and a redesigned Forest of Caldavar.

A tranquil trailer just released for the new update gives backstory on the game as well as teases what’s to come next. The update is set to release on January 31 and may be worth a shot, as it’s free to play on Linux, Mac and PC.
