Aerosmith Guitar Hero Exclusivity Ends, Songs Coming to Rock Band

While the whole “plastic instrument rhythm” thing has faded in popularity the past few years, Harmonix has still been releasing weekly DLC for their Rock Band series. The latest update will come in the form of the “Aerosmith’s Greatest Dimensions Pack”. Not only is this notable for bringing some awesome Steven Tyler sung hard rock, but also because it’s the first appearance of the band in the game since Activision rendered them exclusive to the Guitar Hero series.

Songs include “Walk this Way”, “Sweet Emotion”, “Back in the Saddle”, “Dream On (Live)”, “Legendary Child” and “Lover Alot”. This is exciting not only for Rock Band players who are Aerosmith fans, but also for the possiblity of other formerly Activision-exclusive artists to make their way to Rock Band. Metallica anyone?

The DLC pack will be released on January 29 for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii for $9.99, with individual tracks available for $1.99 a pop.
