The long awaited day has come: GTAV’s release date has officially been announced, but it may be a bit of a disappointment to some. Originally scheduled for a spring launch, Rockstar Games has decided to move that window to late summer (and I mean very late). Grand Theft Auto V’s new launch date is September 17, 2013, four months from its rumored March debut. This will hopefully give the studio much more time to improve and deliver the best game possible.

As they always say, first impressions are everything. A delay is only temporary, while everyone will remember a bad game launch. Take all the time you need, and hopefully you’ll produce a PC version day one as that community will just eat it up.
