Announced just days ago, Capcom Arcade Cabinet will be an ongoing collection of classic Capcom arcade titles (scroll down for the complete list) released every other week. The games will not be straight ports, but instead provide multiple modes, while still remaining faithful to their arcade counterparts. A trailer was just released that shows off gameplay of various titles including 1943, Ghosts’n Goblins, Side Arms, Sonson and more and details (in Japanese) their new features. The game is set to be released on PSN and XBLA sometime this year. No mention of if the PSN version will be compatible with the Vita, but being able to play these classics on the go would certainly increase the appeal of the collection.
While nothing beats playing these games on their original hardware, people just aren’t yet willing to accumulate 50 PCBs and a Jamma harness. Oh well, live and let live.
