A few weeks ago, the hilariously named developer “Brownie Brown” announced that they were changing their name to 1-UP Studio. Apparently, founder and president Shinichi Kameoka wasn’t happy with this, as he has stepped down from the company to form the similarly titled studio “Brownies”. A website was launched for the developer, announcing it will be in Kichijoji — a Musashino neighborhood in Tokyo — and launch on March 1st. Besides that, the website is barren besides an e-mail address to contact the upstart.

It’s unclear what this new studio will focus on, but it seems unlikely it will be anything with Nintendo, as that seems to have alienated Kameoka in the first place.
