The long in development BattleBlock Theater, by famed indie developer The Behemoth (creators of Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers), finally has a release date — or at least a release window. In a sudden update, The Behtmoth published a video today revealing that the game will be finally hitting Xbox Live Arcade this spring.

BattleBlock Theater is a 2D platformer that has a similar style to both Super Meat Boy and Rayman (with its own flavour, of course). It features multiplayer of chaotic proposotions and some of the most adorable characters you can possibly think of. Be prepared to smack your friends around and overcome great feats within the next few months.
