Newegg Clears Out Past Gen Hits (and uDraw)

Posted by JPeeples on 26 Feb 2013

With the current generation running on its last legs, Newegg’s selling a slew of excellent games (and the uDraw) for rock-bottom prices. On the 360 side of things, the triple pack of Limbo, Trials HD, and Splosion Man is only $8, while Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition is $24, Ridge Racer Unbounded is $15,  while Mass Effect 3 will set you back $14, SSX is $13, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is $13, uDraw with the art software is $10, Front Mission Evolved is $9, and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is also $9 – perfectly timed for the release of the 3DS sequel. The Sony side of things includes some PS2 games, as Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 are $10 each, while Re: Chain of Memories is $11. On the PSP side, Birth By Sleep is $9. For the PS3, you can get Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition for $24 as well, and Game of Thrones for $13. uDraw is $10 here too, while AC II is $11, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition is $15, and Yakuza Dead Souls is $13.

At $10, the uDraw is a way to get a kid an art tablet that they can basically mangle or do whatever they want to – even learn, so if you don’t mind possibly having it take up space in a closet, that’s an okay buy. The KH games are at their cheapest points yet for new copies, while SSX is an incredible deal at $13 and Lords of Shadow is one of the gen’s best 3D adventure games, even if it resembles an adventure of Kratos more than something linked to the Belmont clan. Unbounded is a fine game that sort of flew under the radar, but wasn’t really much of a Ridge Racer game. It’s still a pretty fun one though, and at $15, it’s worth getting – although dual system owners may just wait and see if it becomes a PS+ freebie, it seems like the perfect kind of game for that program. $24 is a great price for the definitive edition of New Vegas, even if the DLC doesn’t live up to Fallout 3′s. This sale runs until Feb. 28, so don’t dilly dally too long on these prices.
