Animal Crossing: New Leaf Makes its North American Debut at SXSW Today

In the twenty-six years since its inception, SXSW has grown from a chance to see multiple up-and-coming artists in the same place to a showcase of film, technology and other corporate and indie-sponsored events. This year, besides being able to see Andrew W.K. twice in concert, will mark the first ever SXSW Gaming Expo. Running from March 8-10 and spearheaded by Nintendo, the expo is a tribute to gaming culture based on the idea that its future is for everywhere and everyone, and will be a chance to play some of the company’s upcoming titles.

Besides highly-anticipated games like The Wonderful 101 and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, the event marks the North American debut of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which will have a guided demonstration. So make sure to head over to the Nintendo Booth (#500) at Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Road, Austin, Texas, 78704 the next three days to check the Animal Crossing and other games out and enter some neat giveaways.
