Saints Row IV Officially Announced

Remember when Saints Row The Third just went crazy and threw everything with the kitchen sink at you? Well it looks like Volition is doing it again. While it was well known that the next iteration into the franchise was being developed, we were eagerly awaiting more details. Wait no longer as Deep Silver has officially announced Saints Row IV, along with a trailer and specific details regarding the story.

Joining the race for presidency, you find yourself in a slew of new problems as an alien invasion occurs. This offers futuristic weaponry, but more importantly, supernatural abilities that should bode well with fans. The game is currently being targeted at an August 20, 2013 release date for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Unfortunately, a Wii U version has yet to be confirmed, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
