GDC 13: Social Media Giant King.com Rebrands itself as Simply “King”

At King.com’s exclusive party at Hakkasan in San Franciso tonight, it was announced that the social media giant would be rebranding to simply “King”, dropping the “.com” moniker. Not a revelation, but an indication of how prominent the company has become, in no small part thanks to the announcement that they have over 100 million monthly users.

Rumored to soon be making an IPO, King is behind the massively-popular Candy Crush Saga, Pop Painter and more.
