During our recent interview with Splinter Cell: Blacklist Director, Patrick Redding, it was mentioned that there was a dedicated team of game designers with the sole purpose of optimizing the PC version of the game. This includes getting the controls working correctly, numerous graphic and engine elements and a whole bunch of things on the online side.
While this may not seem notable to console gamers, it is in the fact that it signals that the PC version of the game will not simply be a rushed port and has the chance to once again exemplify what the platform has to offer. Redding affirmed that they are “giving the PC version the attention it deserves and are committed to releasing it day and date with the 360 and PS3 versions of the game.”
That day, of course, will be August 20.
