PS Store Update Goes Live – Discounts Tons of Things

This week’s PS Store update has gone live, and brought with it a ton of discounts and some new full game downloads well. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is $20, while Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut is $40, and unlike the boxed version, doesn’t have a giant blue PS Move ball on the cover art to be annoying. For PSN-only fare, you’ve got Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon at $15, Poker Night 2 for $10, and Zombie Tycoon II for $10 if you’re a regular PS store use, but free if you’re Plus. The Vita store also gets that deal since it’s a cross-buy game, while Soul Sacrifice is now out for $40, and takes up 2.2 GB of space. On the PS2 classic side of things, Katamari Damacy is now out for $10, while TAC Heroes hits the PSP store for $20.

Demo-wise, Urbal Trial Freestyle gets one for the PS3, while those iffy about Blood Dragon or Poker NIght 2 can give those demos a shot.  The Vita gets only one demo this week – for Pure Chess. A ton of White Knight Chronicles 2 DLC has had been made free, while Hakuoki on the PSP is $10 instead of $25. Temporary sale prices are now avaialble for Bioshock 1 and 2 on the PSP, which are $14 instead of $20. Devil May Cry HD Collection goes from $30 to $21, while Crowlanser: Wayfarer of Time and Gungnir are $15.

Despite all of that, the biggest savings with the store update is from the Spring Fever sale. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale on the PS3 goes from $40 to $28, to $20 for PS+ members, while the Vita version goes from $36 to $25, to $17.50 for Plus. The Bioshock 1 and 2 sale prices drop to $10 if you’re a Plus member, while the MGS games all have some huge savings attached to them. MGS 1, MGS: Portable Ops, and Portable Ops Plus are all $4.89 each if you’re a Plus member, while MGS 2 and 3 in HD will cost you a hair over $7, and the HD Collection will set you back $20 on the PS3, and a bit over $17 on the Vita. Peace Walker and Peace Walker: HD Edition are each a bit under $10 as well.

The Devil May Cry HD Collection also goes down to $15 for Plus members, while four God of War games drop to a bit over $7, the Collection is down to $15, and the Origins Collection is only $10 if you’re Plus. inFAMOUS newcomers can get the first game for $15, the second game for free, and the Festival of Blood for $5 if they’re Plus. Twisted Metal maniacs are able to snag the reboot for $20, the first two PS1 entries for a bit under $3 each, Black for $5, and Head-On for a bit under $4. Finally, Ratchet and Clank fans can get the Quest For Booty, Up Your Arsenal, and Secret Agent Clank for a bit over $7 each, while All 4 One is free, Full Frontal Assault is $10, and the Collection is 15. It’s a fairly massive week for deals, so if you’ve got a lot free time and some major holes in your PS3 library, give this week’s sales a serious look.
