David Hayter Posts Picture of Himself with Kiefer Sutherland

After it was announced that Kiefer Sutherland would be taking over the role of Snake in Metal Gear Solid V, a decision I personally applauded, David Hayter got kind of weird about it. Hayter claimed that he was left out of the decision and there seemed to be a lot of sour grapes, with frequent slights and possible fan campaigns launching to get him back in that game.

While Hayter is likely busy working on his directorial debut, Wolves, he apparently hasn’t forgotten about being upstaged, as evidenced by his new Twitter profile background:

While it’s clearly photoshopped, it raises the question of if this is some sort of hint that the two are working together (Big Boss and Solid Snake, perhaps?) or simply Hayter being funny/weird about the whole situation.

When Kojima is involved, it’s hard to know, but the whole situation is something to keep an eye on.

It’s nothing to keep an eye on.

You, Steve Hannley, are a piss poor journalist. It’s been known that David likes to make light of the controversy. He’s said hundreds of times, in AMA’s, twitter/facebook posts, convention questions, that he’s over it.

The fact that people (like you) keep suspecting otherwise is why he keeps making these posts. If you’re going to be incessantly badgered, best to make the most out of it, right?

Now stop writing awful half-page articles with all speculation and no substance.
