The OUYA has been a godsend for indie games that would otherwise fly right under the radar and Soul Power is the latest example of that. It’s a creepy puzzle-platformer with dark humor and interesting controls. Instead of using a stick or d-pad to move, you control your ghost with the bumpers. RB moves you right, LB moves you left, and pressing both allows you to glide. Y allows your soul to escape and look for a warp area, and while you may want to glide around forever, you can’t – you’re limited by your soul power gauge which depletes as you soar. The soundtrack is incredible and the overall vibe evokes The Nightmare Before Christmas with just the right amount of creepiness to it. At $4, it’s a good buy for OUYA owners able to get used to the controls and overall game mechanics.
