Fans of the Fallout franchise may be in luck. It appears that a fourth entry in the Fallout franchise might be on the way if a trademark filing in Europe is to be believed. Fallout 4’s trademark registration was found on the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Markets’ website. They handle all trademarks throughout Europe.
Another Fallout game has long been rumored to be in development. Fallout 3 launched in 2008 on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC to high critical praise and quickly became a commercial success. Bethesda then hired Obsidian Entertainment to create Fallout: New Vegas, a game set in the same time period as Fallout 3, but in Nevada while Bethesda Softworks began work on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Many have assumed that the developer went straight to work on Fallout 4 following the completion of Skyrim.
Hopefully Bethesda will make an announcement soon. Considering the fact that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was announced at the 2011 Spike Video Game Awards it is possible that Fallout 4 might get the same treatment.
