Report: The Walking Dead Season 2 Kicks Off December 17

No, we aren’t talking about the boring Season 2 of The Walking Dead TV show.  Instead we’re talking about Season 2 of the intense, interactive drama title that launched Telltale Games into stardom.  The Walking Dead the game won numerous game of the year awards in 2012 and fans have been waiting for news about when Season 2 will launch.  Well, if a Steam listing is to be believed then we’ll be seeing it real soon.

All we know is that the game will launch in December.  An exact date we don’t truly know, but Steam looks to have spilled the goods.  The digital distribution service has put a release date of December 17 on the game’s page.  We’ve also been given a nice description about the game:

“The Walking Dead: Season Two continues the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned by the undead apocalypse. Left to fend for herself, she has been forced to learn how to survive in a world gone mad.

“Many months have passed since the events seen in Season One of The Walking Dead, and Clementine is searching for safety. But what can an ordinary child do to stay alive when the living can be just as bad – and sometimes worse – than the dead? As Clementine, you will be tested by situations and dilemmas that will test your morals and your instinct for survival. Your decisions and actions will change the story around you, in this sequel to 2012’s Game of the Year.”

Steam is also offering a deal on the Season Pass.  Purchase the full game and get 10% off.  That takes the price of the entire season from $24.99 to $22.49.

We”ll keep you updated should Telltale Games properly confirm this release date.
