It comes with a gigantic, King Kong-sized caveat, however. Sega isn’t simply giving it away out of the kindness of their own heart, but instead have converted the entire game to be supported with ads and microtransactions.
Microtransactions include things like in-game currency and weapons (some of which were available before), but by far the biggest offender are the advertisements. Every death is rewarded by a 15-20 second video ad for other iOS games like Deer Hunter 2014.
Maybe you should have paid the $4.99 after all.
