Game Boy Advance Arriving on the Wii U Virtual Console

It’s finally happening folks, the Game Boy Advance will be joining its sister consoles on the Wii U Virtual Console. From April 2014, players will be able to download Game Boy Advance games on the Wii U. It’s about time.

During the latest Nintendo Direct stream, the first three Game Boy Advance titles destined for the Wii U Virtual Console were announced: Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, Metroid Fusion, and Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3. A pretty good start, especially Metroid Fusion which is among the more praised entries in the series.

In a perfect world, the titles would appear on the 3DS Virtual Console as well, but for now we can look forward to enjoying them on the Wii U GamePad when we’re craving that portable goodness.

    Whatever, I’ll take it.

Metriod Fusion is a must play for those that haven’t. And for those that have…well they’re going to buy it anyways. ;)

I’ve had 10 GBA games to play on my 3DS already for almost 2 years, and I’m glad it’s finally happening for other people now. Who knows, maybe we can see a domestic release of Mother 3?
