Borderlands 2 Lands On PS Vita This May

PS Vita’s next AAA game has a release date.  Sony has confirmed that Borderlands 2 will be available on PS Vita May 13.  However, there is a way to get the game earlier if you’re willing to plunk down some serious cash.

Borderlands 2 will be a pack-in for the new PS Vita Slim model, which launches in North America on May 6.  It will cost $200, just like the current PS Vita model, though you do get Borderlands 2 and an 8GB Memory Card as added bonuses.

Borderlands 2 on PS Vita has been tweaked and optimized to work perfectly on the PS Vita.  What you’ll get is the full game that was released on PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac back in 2012.  Also, the game comes with the following DLC packs:

  • Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty
  • Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage
  • Psycho Character Class
  • Mechromancer Character Class
  • Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 1
  • Collector’s Edition Pack

Overall, you’re getting quite a lot of bang for your buck.  Like all PS Vita games, Borderlands 2 will retail for $39.99.

Borderlands 2 is available on PS Vita May 13 as a standalone product, or May 6 as a pack-in with the new PS Vita Slim unit.  Check out the announcement trailer below:
