Dead Island 2 takes place a few months after the events of the first outbreak. The virus has spread, and LA has become a zombie playground. Throughout your survival adventure, you’ll brave the beaches and soak up the suns while shedding some blood. You’ll have your usual range of attacks as well as all-new fury attacks. Dead Island 2 won’t just have zombies, there will also be animals! This is going to be the first game to actually motion-capture a cat.
Beyond cats, dual-wielding makes its series debut here too. You can mix and match melee with ammo-loaded weapons if you desire. The developers are also aiming to have a seamless social experience with up to eight players. Single-player is still available though, and the story will be written by an Emmy-winning TV writer. The game is set for a spring 2015 release on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. PS4 owners will have access to a playable beta for 30 days before any other platform, so if you’ve got a PS4, that will be the platform to check this out on.
