Depth Hunter first arrived on Desura in 2012 as a very unique indie experience. Players were tasked with diving into the ocean to hunt fish via the breath-holding spearfishing technique. Now, some two years later, Depth Hunter is back with a sequel.
Depth Hunter 2: Deep Dive runs in a brand new engine and includes new fish-catching mechanics. Alongside fishing with a mechanical harpoon players can also take photos of undersea life. There’s also an exploration mode available to those who want to simply tour the game’s three main locations.
Unlike the original, Depth Hunter 2 is available on Steam. It is also on discount until August 27 for $12.74. After that it defaults back to a regular price of $14.99.
