The Japanese gaming indie scene is one that seems to be growing as of late. With new titles popping up on Steam fairly regularly, it would seem that some Japanese developers are finding the most success releasing smaller, niche titles instead of big-budget, triple-A ones. While we have known that certain Doujin games would be coming to the PS4 in the future, we haven’t seen an exhaustive list of which have made the cut for the time being. Until now, of course.
Today, Playism announced that they will be bringing a handful of JP titles to PSN, starting this month. These releases will filter into 2015, some of which are actually pretty solid games. Below is a list of the games announced, with their respective system and launch date (a few of these you may already know about):
- TorqueL (Vita/PS4 – Dec 24)
- Machinarium (Vita/PS3 – Dec 24)
- Croixleur Sigma (Vita/PS4 – 2015)
- Astebreed (PS4 – 2015)
- Revolver ReActor 360 (PS4 – 2015)
- Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae (PS4 – 2015)
- Prismatic Solid (PS4 – 2015)
We’re particularly excited for Croixleur, Astebreed, and Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae. The two former titles are especially fantastic, with Astebreed being one of our favorite releases this year. Be on the lookout for more details on this list as they become available.
