You’ve probably played a few rhythm games before, but have you ever played a “rhythm violence” title? Probably not, because that’s a new description which was devised by developer Drool to define Thumper.
At its core, the game shares a lot in common with classic arcade games. Through the use of one button and one joystick players drive the playable beetle through tunnels at an outrageously fast speed. Players will need impeccably fast and rhythmic reflexes to turn, thump, and slide through the world.
The best way to get a feel for Thumper is to check out this newly-released trailer. It launched alongside the news that Thumper is coming to PS4 in 2016. A Steam release is also on the way.
