It’s 2015 (unless of course you’re a sports video game, then you think it’s 2016 already), so the idea that you should be anything other than yourself has seemingly gone the way of the dodo. Still, even with all of the platforms available for humans everywhere to get their voices heard, there is still a select group of people who can only be motivated by Spike Lee’s use of the video game medium.
Thankfully for that bizarre contingent of people that may or may not be completely made up to pad the word count of this article, NBA 2K16’s latest trailer highlights its ability to let you be exactly who you want to be in its most heralded mode: MyCareer. Every year this mode gets better, and it’s looking like this year’s iteration from Visual Concepts will be no exception.
NBA 2K16 is set to release on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 29.
