Terrible Toybox announced today that their Kickstarted adventure game Thimbleweed Park will be releasing on PC, Xbox One and mobile device on March 30.
Industry veterans Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick launched a Kickstarter for Thimbleweed Park in 2014 which raised $375,000 in just under a month. Gilbert and Winnick have been behind other critically acclaimed adventure games such as Maniac Mansion and The Secret of Monkey Island.
Thimbleweed Park will be releasing on PS4 in July after a three month exclusive period with Microsoft’s Xbox One console.
In an interview with Gamereactor about the possibility for a Nintendo Switch version, Gilbert said, “Nintendo is not particularly good at working with small developers and publishers, initially, it’s like they like to go out to the big publishers, and then they kind of after maybe a year or so then they kind of let a lot of smaller things in. So we are definitely talking to Nintendo and as soon as we can do it, we will definitely port it..”
Thimbleweed Park will be available on March 30 on PC, Xbox One and mobile devices.
