Alongside a delay to later this year we also got a new look at Flying Battery Zone in Sonic Mania. This new game from Sega harkens back to what some would argue is Sonic’s golden age.
The Flying Battery Zone hangs high above Angel Island in Eggman’s flying ship. You may even recognize the scene from Sonic 3 and Knuckles though this time around it’s in glorious 60 frames per second. The delay was announced live at Sega’s South by Southwest panel which was also streamed on Twitch.
Sonic Mania was originally planned for Spring 2017 but will now debut sometime this summer for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch.
