It would appear that we might have a date for Apple’s big iPhone 8 reveal.
Anticipation for Apple’s next iPhone model has hit an all-time high following months of leaks, rumors, and speculation. After last year’s disappointing iPhone 7 reveal, which retained the same look as the iPhone 6 and 6S, fans have been waiting patiently for the next big thing from Apple. Well, if a new report is anything to go by, we won’t have to wait much longer.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Apple intends to hold their annual iPhone reveal at event on September 12 where the tenth-anniversary iPhone (a.k.a. iPhone 8) will be the main event. It will feature an edge-t0-edge display (much like the Samsung Galaxy S8), facial recognition, and a heftier price tag than previous iPhone models.
In addition to the iPhone 8, Apple will also be rolling out the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus. These models won’t be as expensive as the iPhone 8, and will retain the form factor of the 7 models.
Finally, a brand new Apple Watch model is set to be unveiled. This Apple Watch 3 will finally include an LTE cellular trip, allowing owners to use the watch without having to keep their phone close by. Previous models were criticized for forcing users to have their iPhone on them at all times in order to use the Watch.
Take this all with a grain of salt until Apple makes any official announcements. However, with September kicking off later this week, Apple will likely announce a date for the reveal event very soon.
