Fortnite, a game in which players endure waves of monsters by building totally awesome forts, will be getting a major update soon. Epic games announced today they will be adding a 100 player battle royale mode to the game, dubbed “Fortnite: Battle Royale.” Following the example of PUBG and H1Z1, Fortnite: Battle Royale will have its combatants drop into a giant map and then task them with surviving through their own skill and ingenuity. The major difference between this mode and other battle royale-style multiplayer games are the tools the players will have to work with.
In addition to the usual guns, grenades and armor, players will also be able to utilize Fortnite’s building system to better ensure that they’re the ones enjoying the poultry dinner prize at the end of it all. Players can create traps, throw up make-shift cover, build sniper towers or anything else they think will help them secure the win. It’s all about creating advantages for oneself.
