Last Day of June is a beautifully sad game about love and loss, and what someone would be willing to do to bring back a lost loved one. Inspired by the Steven Wilson music video Drive Home, the two lovers Carl and June are involved in a car accident which June doesn’t survive. Years later, Carl stumbles upon a means to travel back in time and make some changes in what happens during the course that day, hoping to undo the tragedy and be reunited with his beloved June. In the video below musician Steven Wilson and members of the development team discuss how this unique approach to storytelling through video games came to be. More information on Last Day of June can be found in our review and in our interview with designer Mattia Traverso.
