Dishonored: Death of the Outsider Puts a Mark on the Prime Target

Bethesda Softworks released a new trailer today featuring Luke Smith answering questions specifically about the Outsider, Dishonored’s version of a god, or is it demon?

In the video Luke Smith goes on to specifically explain why Billie Lurk and Daud are out to take down the all-seeing and seemingly all-powerful being who occupies a land of shadow. Anyone familiar with the Dishonored series knows exactly who the Outsider is, or as much as they can know, and it’s easy to see why Billie and Daud are so keen on taking him down, Luke Smith, stating that they view taking down the Outsider as a means to an end. The end being, putting a stop to all the vile in the world.

While no new information has been revealed it does help in explaining a bit more about our anti-heroes and what’s to gain. Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is out on September 15 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Ill-conceived concept. Dishonored 1 DLCs already dealt with Daud realising that individuals are responsible for their own decisions; him coming to the conclusion that the Outsider is responsible for the chaos in the world makes no sense. I guarantee you that the “twist” will be that Daud and Billie realise that Humans Were Autonomous All Along, with or without the Outsider’s influence, which I’m pretty sure almost every single player worked out years ago. Will not be buying this game, least of all because of Hazel Monforton’s involvement. I have no interest in giving money to a company that employs a notorious fandom bully.
