Wulverblade was one of the showcase games on the most recent Nintendo Direct – and brings with it some much-needed beat’em-up action to the console. The game gives you the usual mix of characters to choose from – a slow, powerful bruiser, a fast character that does minimal damage, and an in-between – but offers up a bit more satisfaction from defeating enemies. Instead of just flashing off-screen, enemies can be decapitated and torn apart – so you get a visceral thrill from victory here that is lacking in many games. Anyone seeking some belt-scrolling fun should check it out whenever they get a chance. Wulverblade is available now on the Switch’s eShop for $19.99 – keep in mind that is a very violent game, and it does bring an M rating unlike most entries in the genre.
