Game developer Introversion has recently gave game modders a new reason to be happy. In keeping with its promise of making all of its games open-source, the source code of both Darwinia and Multiwinia are now available for download. One catch: it’ll cost ya.
More specifically, it’ll cost you 45 dollars (30 pounds for any Europeans out there). The code comes with a set of five activation keys, so that other players can test out mods without having to fork over money themselves. Purchasing the code also entitles the modder to space on a Subversion repository, where their creations will sit alongside the "vanilla" version of the game.
