At least the little critter was gone during gameplay. I mean I could nitpick about a few things in the trailer, but it would seem pointless considering how much I like the look of the actual stage and gameplay.

360 version comes out a week after the Wii one actually.

Going to buy the Wii version tomorrow. Have the PS3 one pre-ordered already.

Racewing, we are going to have to discuss this game.

I really like the game, only complaints are how empty the town settings feel, and honestly the day stages feel too short. So far.

Sure, some folks can breeze through a level in the original genesis, or CD games in under a minute but Sonic didn't nearly moved as fast as he does in this game.

Seeing as Sonic can travel at 300 MPH in this game, it makes me feel like day stages come and go.

Indeed, please feel free to answer that question before I start talking like crazy. Now that the games have shipped, I finally can.

(I've finished both and am about to go for 100% on both generations of retail versions.)

Just to be clear, I bought the Wii one last night and I am really enjoying it. It's not perfect, but it is fun, and definitely feels like a lot of good steps were taken with the creation of the game. And surprisingly, I kind of like the Were hog gameplay. It's like playing as Knuckles but with stretchy arms and no gliding.

This is all based on first impressions, but the fact that it really put a smile on my face is good enough for me.

I'm glad you guys like the Werehog, because the Wii version piles it on thick. It isn't bad at all here, but the concept was far better realized in the next-gen version. Here it almost wears out its welcome.

You are in for a treat with the daytime stages, as well as the inventive hub that does its best never to get in the way while providing some sweet bonus puzzles.

Have fun! I've got to write the review of the 360 version now.

Wait, so if I am reading/hearing you correctly, I will have more fun in the next gen version?

Way to get me excited.

I'll also mention that I am playing the game with a Classic controller as opposed to the nunchuk and wiimote or Gamecube controller set ups. After reading through the manual last night, I think I have chosen wisely, because I am not sure I agree with some of their control scheme ideas.
