New toy!

I got a
Dot-S
Space Invaders kit-
Two 16x16 grids that can be used singly or joined together to make a 16x32 grid, vertically or horizontally. It also has five colors of pegs, 100 apiece. I ran out of Space Invaders pretty quickly, and since then I've been putting together other things-
I need more colors.

Those things cost too much for the limited amount of stuff with em.

$18. I'd complain about the price but I keep making new pictures with it. Sure, it's a bit expensive, but it's also getting used.
Anyone got a link to a sprite archive?

Compared to various beads you can get at craft stores, it's kinda high =P Quality is only so good. You get like 2 boards, 2 stands, and maybe 100 pegs. Much better alternatives are out their, just these have branding.

100 pegs at a craft store, or out of this kit? Because I got 100 pegs apiece in 5 different colors, so 500 pegs total. Yeah, I'm paying a bit extra for brand plus import fees, but this does what I ask with a minimum of fuss. Plus I'm having fun finding new art to replicate.

I guess the Mario one I got had less pegs, it had maybe 30 of each color, except for brown.

Each of the sets has a different assortment of pegs packed in with it. The website lists the exact amounts included. The Space Invaders set includes a fairly even distribution of pegs for each color, while the Mario one concentrates the colors in red and olive (what georox referred to as brown).

It wasn't the mario shirt color, it was brick color... aka brown. >_> Olive is a more green last I knew, and red is.. well, red. I also got mine a good amount of time ago, so it's from a few series ago. They might've improved since, but my personal experience with the kits is pretty negative.

I made a new thing-
Actually it's an old thing, but I never got around to posting it. I've got a Moon Patrol one on my desk at the moment, but it didn't come out like I hoped.
