Dragon’s Dogma is shaping up to be a surprise hit. Set for release in May, we take an early peek at Capcom’s upcoming journey, battling goblins, Chimeras and Griffins and doing so in a fashionable manner. With Hiroyuki Kobayahi, producer of Resident Evil 4, and Hideaki Itsuno, director of Devil May Cry 3, behind the helm, this is definitely not a game to push aside. Get ready to battle all your favorite mythical creatures on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360!
Dragon’s Dogma has certainly come a long way. When first unvieled, the animation looked finicky and ran at a poor framerate. As the game has progressed over the past year, however, more intriguing gameplay dynamics were introduced and it felt like Capcom’s new IP was coming together. While the lack of cooperative play is disappointing, this Capcom epic looks to fill the void players may have when it comes to dark fantasy. I know I’ll be first in line when it hits store shelves May 22nd.
