In an interview with Golem.De, Crytek Founder, President and CEO Cervat Yerli stated that Crytek has no plans to develop games for either WiiU or Vita.
“We don’t have anything planned for either console,” said Yerli. “For the WiiU there will be games running on CryEngine, but they are from licensees. The PlayStation Vita is uncertain to us as a platform. On a technical level the Vita is appealing to me, without a doubt we could have fun with it. From a business perspective however it’s somewhat too late.”
Given Crytek’s propensity to develop highly technology-advanced games, this isn’t shocking, but it does mean you won’t see a mobile Crysis anytime soon.
