Nintendo Unveils Pre-E3 Wii U News

In a welcome surprise, Nintendo showed off final hardware for the Wii U Gamepad tablet and more traditional Wii U Pro Controller today in their pre-E3 presentation.

The Wii U Gamepad (that’s the touchpad) itself includes a TV switch button, used to switch the gameplay from the TV screen to the pad’s screen (as was discussed at last year’s E3). Also new is the style of the joysticks — last year the controller had 3DS-style slider pads, but it now sports Nunchuck-esque sticks that are, for the first time in Nintendo’s history, clickable.
