Usher and Harmonix got together at E3 to rock the audience. In an always grandiose fashion, Usher wowed fans and gamers alike with some smooth moves in his concert-like performance. Seems like Usher has taken a liking to the gaming community, but in an ABC interview, it appears Mr. Raymond has been a gamer since the Golden Age of the NES.
Usher commented on the amount of hours he spent with a controller in his hands. “At some point, I had to put them down because my thumbs were black and blue. I still have the callouses built up… from hours and hours of ‘Tecmo Bowl’ and ‘Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out.'”
Now Usher fuses his love for Lil’ Mac with his passion for dancing. Not only did he help choreograph some of the in-game dance moves on his songs, but he also participated in a motion capture session.
It’s always great to see performers, of any kind, put their passions to work. It feels even better when they do it for the gaming world. Dance Central 3 looks like an awesome time.
It would be interesting to see how Usher’s endorsement affects DC3’s overall sales. Regardless, E3 moments like these are fun for everyone!
